August 9, 2010 - This year's pageant was held in Washington, DC at the Lincoln Theater. Miss Black USA 2010 is Osas Ighodaro of Connecticut. Miss Black USA's Talented Teen 2010 is Raven Green of Arizona.

Miss Teen USA

July 24, 2010 - Miss Teen USA 2010 is Kamie Crawford of Maryland. The Teen USA pageant was held at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

International Pageants

July 17 and 24, 2010 - Two weeks of rehearsals,appearances, and competition culminated with the crowning of three of the newest queens to the International Pageants. This year's pageants were held at the North Shore Center of the Performing Arts in Skokie, Illinois. The winners are: Mrs. International, Shannon Devine of North Carolina. She was also the photogenic winner. Miss International, Ashley Smith of Texas. She also won preliminary fitness, fun fashion, and evening wear. Miss Teen International was Juliana McKee of Maryland. She was also a preliminary evening wear award winner.

Mrs. United States

July 22, 2010 - Rachel Juillerat, a teacher from Mississippi was crowned Mrs. United States 2010 at the Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Plus America Pageants

July 17, 2010 - Four new queens represent the Plus America Pageant with style, grace and integrity. Mrs. Plus America, Tonya Kidd; Ms. Plus America, Esther Renee Brandon; Miss Elite Plus America, Evelyn Bailey; and Miss Plus America, Latasha Haskins. The pageant was held at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Monroe, Louisiana.

Galaxy Pageants

July 10, 2010 - At the Power Center Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan four of the most beautiful women in the galaxy were selected to represent the Galaxy pageants class of 2010. The winners are: Teen, Abbie Luther of Illinois; Miss, Taylor Parks; Ms., Yolanda Makle of Maryland; and Mrs., Adrianne Caruso.

The America's Miss Pageants

June 26, 2010 - America's Miss crowned their 2010 titleholders. The coveted titles went to Evelyn McLeod of New Jersey, America's Mrs. 2010;Alison Tripple of Maryland, America's Miss 2010; and Alison Duffy also of Maryland, America's Miss Teen. The event was held at The Bel Air Armory in Bel Air, MD. ilovepageantry! first learned about this pageant in 2007 (It has been in existence longer.) and it has grown in the past three years. The system is directed by a dynamic family duo, mother and daughter Sharon and Keia Brown. They are lovely, warm, hard-working women that do their best to provide their contestants with a worthwhile experience. To see photos from this year's national pageant visit AmericasMiss.org. Time to do your pageant homework!

June 2010 - Summer is the heart of pageant season. If you have never competed before, but are considering it, now is the time to do your research. Just about every system is having either their state competitions (MAO) or their national pageants (practically everyone else). Here are a few things to keep in mind while doing your pageant research:
* Do I have to perform a talent?
* Do I need a personal platform?
* Do I win scholarship money for my education?
Many pageants offer one, all, or none of these items so it is important to decide what is important to you before you compete. Hope this helps and good luck on all of your pageant endeavours. (For a list of all national pageants this summer visit the events page.)

Miss USA 2010

May 16, 2010 - Rima Fakih, the latest national titleholder of the 2010 pageant year, is a 24 year old from Michigan. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn with degrees in economics and business management. She later plans to go to law school. Fakih is the first person of her nationality, ethnicity or religion to win the coveted title of Miss USA. She is a native of Lebanon and is Muslim. Unfortunately, despite the many accomplishments of this young woman, she is under investigation by the Miss Universe Organization for participation in a 2007 'Stripper 101 Contest' (Google it...). On August 23, 2010 she will represent the United States of America in the Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas.

Mrs. Maryland International 2010

February 14, 2010 - ilovepageantry! founder, Angel McCoy, won the title of Mrs. Maryland International 2010. She will compete for the title of Mrs. International July 16th - 17th in Chicago, Ill. McCoy's platform is, "Exceptional Support for the Exceptional Individual" in which she promotes the support and awareness of organizations that provide critical and benefical services to those with intellectual disabilities. McCoy is a graduate of Penn State University holding a B.S. in Meteorology and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland University College. She is a meteorologist with the Department of the Interior.

Miss America 2010

January 31st, 2010 - Caressa Cameron, a 22 year old graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University won the coveted title of Miss America 2010. Cameron's platform is, "Real Talk: Aids in America" and her career ambition is to be an anchor for a television news station. Cameron was also a preliminary talent winner.
